A Girls Guide to San Diego Sports: The San Diego Padres may have lost Fukudome but they got a Peavy

Jake Peavy, National Cy Award Winner and current pitcher for The San Diego Padres renewed his contract for what some are speculating to be the biggest contract in franchise history. Exact financial terms have not been released but numbers around 50 million being thrown around in sports circles. Peavy is only 26 years old and this year lead the league in strikeouts (240) and in ERA (2.54). (My husband just told me that the ERA tells you that people don't hit home runs off of Peavy very often, this is a good thing).

Lines for the sports bar tonight:

Peavy, Peavy, Peavy!

With that 2.54 ERA and the 240 strikeouts, Peavy will start off the season hoping to build a repuration of consistancy.
Peavy! Peavy!
The man is getting 50 million, he better up those strikeouts, 250, 250!
Man, is that Peavy single or what?
Peavy! Peavy! Peavy!
