Have there been 48 other operation funks? An important Friday question, for sure.
From CBS 8 :
A three-year, multi-agency undercover operation has broken up an international drug trafficking operation, and San Diego was at ground zero. District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis announced the arrest Thursday of more than 175 people nationwide in what's being called "Operation Funk 49". The operation shut down a local drug distribution organization that received drugs from Mexico and sent them out to other parts of the United States. Locally, 59 people were arrested. Many are facing serious charges.
