Homicide rates go down. Alcohol ban still in effect.

People are so happy escaping to IB that they have no reason to kill (yep, we're safe, San Diego is safe). Compared to other large cities, San Diego's 58 homicides is a relatively low number. In fact, homicides have decreased since last year (a 15 percent decrease according to the Union Tribune).

And gang violence went way up.

I'm taking this time to blame the alcohol ban, why, because we need a good voice for alcoholics everywhere and that voice says "you see, you see City Council, now that we can't all go to the beach, have a good time, maybe start a riot or two, we are stuck staying at home killing each other."

Somebody may point out to the voice that the alcohol ban didn't take effect until late into the year but the voice will just roll it's eyes, throw it's drink around and spill it all over the couch.

The voice cares not, pass the Kettle 1.
