The San Diego Film Festival starts this week (September 27) and promises to provide four days of fun, film and parties! (WOO, parties)
Held in the Gaslamp Quarter — San Diego's premier entertainment district — San Diego Film Festival (SDFF) is a competitive four-day fest that offers attendees a 360 festival experience. whether it’s a relaxing day of film and a night of parties, or catching a workshop and hitting a conference to learn from the pros, no single day is like another at SDFF. The Festival features more than 100 American and international feature, documentary, short films and music videos; intimate filmmaker and celebrity gatherings; industry panels and the American Screenwriters Association's annual conference; in addition to four nights of San Diego's most glamorous parties.
Of course I checked out said event schedule and they have a nice long list of who exactly access is granted to for all these great parties. I'll be the person standing outside going "hey is that? I totally voted for you!" And then Joaquin Phoenix (who was apparently there last year, so he could be there again, he could be) in all his *allegedly* slightly drugged up glory will notice me, wonder about my inquisitive eyes and whisk me away to the VIP party of my life.

I noticed there is a special Native American film section but was disheartened to find that there were no Native Films this year. We're gonna have to work on that one.
