The City Council is quickly proving to be the parents so many of us were hoping to move away from cause we're grown ups, GROWN UPS!

The City Council's Land Use and Housing Committee voted unanimously to extend a noise citation program so San Diego neighborhoods, starting December 1. Currently the program has been used in the College Area to quell noise issues residents were having with loud house and apartment parties.

San Diego police are to have power citywide to issue $1,000 fines to tenants and landlords because of loud parties, it was decided Wednesday.A pilot program operating since March in the College Area has been judged so successful that city officials, residents from the beach communities and police sought to broaden it.

City Council, yeah I'm talking to you, lets keep our head about these things. We do not LIVE in PB for noise control, just like we don't live in La Jolla to save money. And I thought part of the charm of San Diego was the neighborhood feel? I suppose we can find some sort of compromise right?

SDSU students told the committee they support the program, but called for modifications, such as allowing people who are fined 30 days to pay instead of 10, and giving them the option of community service.Swanger rejected that option outright."What I am after is a deterrent," the captain said. "I am not after what is most palatable."

Guess not.
