Fat Girl, Skinny City: I'm busy, bare with me.
Don't worry, I'm not pissed again this week. Though I'm a little PEEVED that Melissa McCarthy is once again "perky fat sidekick" in Samantha, Who? (ABC), but at least she's working and MAYBE they'll give her character some depth, sometime.
Anyway, it's Halloween, that "dress yourself in slutty clothes" time of the year where nothing escapes sluttification. I actually like a lot about Halloween, one of the few times a year I don't have to apologize for wearing the cleavage baring, short skirt, high shoes combo. I actually quite enjoy the night out spotting slutty police officers and slutty girl scouts (who wasn't waiting for THAT costume? Gimme some cookies). But I also keep an eye out for those few and far between costumes that somehow required actual thinking (or reading of the Internet for all those "good ideas").
Like last year when I saw a guy dressed up as a "one night stand", complete with cardboard night stand look AND lamp shade hat. Or the girl I saw dressed up as "don't even think about talking to me right now because I'm bending over this trash can here totally drunk" (that's was a GREAT costume, I've been that costume on more than one non Halloween occasion).
But this year I've saved the "finding a costume" until the last minute and it tends to be that 1. my creative juices are busy and don't want to think about what sexy something or other or if I'm even going to try and pull that off this year and 2. I'm half convinced I could just wear a sexy black dress, call myself Audrey Hepburn and be on my way, it all looks the same at 2 in the morning any way.
None the less, I provide Torrid's collection of costumes for this year. There's a sexy cop, school girl, maid... and Torrid has some of the best fitting fishnet stockings I've found. For all girls who want their own slutty options, no matter the size.
Even though I haven't been in the mood (yet), San Diego is a great place to spend Halloween and an even better place to get a little dressed up and spend the evening wandering around looking for a bar with no line. Or head downtown and point at people.
Next week, I'm going to write more about my costume choices. This week I'm busy. Why so busy you ask? Cause I'm in the midst of a paper that I've been putting off and I have a presentation tomorrow.
Oh, I had a date this week. His name was Alan and he kept talking to me about his BMW. I, being the girl that I am, finally just said "I drive an old Jetta my brother gave to me, it's yellow." And he just looked at me funny, why talk about an old Jetta when you can talk about a BMW? So, on to the next one.
If you have costume suggestions let me know.
